The recreational baseball programs goal is to teach the basic fundamentals and sportsmanship. The new baseball complex has 9 lighted baseball fields located at Ballard Park with restrooms, concessions and playground area.

If games are questionable due to weather call rec-check at (662) 842-8422 push 95 after tone.

Baseball Programs

Tupelo Department of Parks and Recreation offers four levels of baseball for our citizens.

• Recreational Baseball is designed to offer all players a chance to experience the game at the grass roots level.  Games are played during the week and it is open to all players.
• Recreational Week-end Baseball is designed t allow coaches  to establish teams from our recreational teams and play in a limited number of week-end tournaments.
• Dizzy Dean All-Star Baseball is designed to allow players to tryout and be selected to play in State and Regional tournaments.
• Rangers Baseball is our highest level of play.  Teams and coaches are selected through a tryout process in the summer.  All players are encouraged to tryout.
